highID with firewall?
« on: January 08, 2005, 04:30:26 PM »

I am new to aMule. I got lowID possibly beacuse I am behind a firewall. To my knowledge the firewall is set on the whole network in my working place, not on my workstation. Due to this reasons I cannot turn off the firewall. Is it possible to get highID while being behind firewall?
Thanks for any help.

hey

if you cannot convince your firewall admin to forward 2ports to your local computer highID is not possible no.
since the firewall prevents all direct connection to your computer and so you are lowID

?( Maybe that is evident, but: If you use a tool like aMule on your workplace without the agreement of the owner of the company you are in serious trouble.  :]

And if you have the agreement, it should be a little issue to get the admin of the firewall open you this port.
