Router blocks after some time downloading
« on: January 27, 2005, 04:53:52 PM »

Hi,

I am using rc8 on Fedora Core 3. I seems to work fine, but I found a problem that makes aMule unusable in my system. I am using a modem connected to a wifi router and the router connected to the fedora box. After some time online, down/up-loading files, the modem (NOT the router) gets locked and I have to reset it to get the line up again (ADSL). I have tried several combinations of number of connections/max connections per site, etc..., but the problem persists. As said, I am using a modem connected to a wifi router and the reouter connected to the fedora box, and this same configuracion runs ok under WinXP, so I gess its not a hardware problem (at least as fas as the modem an router is concerned).

Any suggestions ?
Thx.

Connection hangs

There is a solution which I used (maybe not the best) but it does not hang my connection every 2 hours anymore. Purposefully create low ID configuring your router's IP and voilla!
By the way - speeds are better too - as strange as it may seem.

Hope that helps - if not see this post: http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=5208&sid=

In a world with no doors why do you need gates or windows?

also check your settings

--max connections should not be to high with routers.. around 500
--max connections / 5 sec also...around 10
