Full remote access
« on: January 28, 2005, 03:15:59 AM »

Hello,

I have a FC3 computer configured as a server (attempted to run Gnome, but the attached serial mouse isn't functiong, so I can't get beyond the login screen, which is irrelevant since we only use it to run remotely-controlled services).

I would like to make a few files available for Mule networks (via ED2K links), so I would like to run aMule within a shell on the Linux server, have it configured to be connected to a server, share the files and that's about it.

What exactly do I have to do to make this work?

Thanks in advance.

hey

question is what do you want:
1st. you could setup an auto login to gnome for example, and controll it via VNC.
at lest this works without problems for kde so I guess same thing for gnome aswell

2nd. you could setup aMule-Deamon which runs without any X-Server.

for this to work you need
wxBase 2.5.3 at least it does not work with 2.4.2
and you need aMule-cvs from
http://amule.hirnriss.net
since there are soem major bugfixes in aMule-daemon in cvs

if you have any question there are also some answers at http://wiki.amule.org
if you cant find the answer just ask :)
