Amule doesn't work after kde update
« on: January 28, 2005, 01:22:44 PM »

I have suse 9.1, after kde update, amule doesn't work properly on X.
You can see here how:

I have tried to unistall and reinstall amule rpm and wklibraries, but the problem is not resolved.

       wxGTK-2.4.2-1
       wxBase-2.4.2-1
# rpm -qa | grep aMule

puh, kde fault for sure..

what if you recompile amule yourself to check if its better?

things u need:

dl & install wxgtk-devel -> http://www.amule.org/files/download.php?file=26

set 2 symlinks (as root) ->

ln -sf /usr/bin/wxgtk-2.4-config /usr/bin/wx-config
ln -sf /usr/bin/wxbase-2.4-config /usr/bin/wxbase-config
ldconfig

dl & compile amule-cvs (as user, only make install as root) -> http://amule.hirnriss.net/cvs/aMule-cvs-20050128.tar.bz2

cheers
