LowID using dhcp router with firewall
« on: January 28, 2005, 03:28:52 PM »

Hi there,

I'm using amule on suse 9.1 using a netgear dg834g wifi router with dhcp.
I'm on LowID because the router is blocking access to ports 466* and 467*.

I could open these ports but I want to continue using dhcp ...

anyone yet seen the problem?

thanks
matthias

it is a completly normal problem....
if those 2 ports are not open, lowID is nothing special.

try to open those ports for one IP address of the dhcp range, and assign in the dhcp section a static IP based on teh mac-address.
so the router will give you always teh same IP-dhcp address based on the mac-address.
dont know if your router supports that tho
