I can't make i work

I have downloaded the following files
wxGTK
wxBASE
and aMule (the latest version)
I have installed them all (they were rpms) and when I tried amule from the console I had the following error

OOPS! Houston, we have a situation: seems like aMule crashed!

try to delete the already existing
.eMule FILE!!!!! in the homedirectory of the user that runs amule, maybe that will help.
and I am not talking about the .aMule directory.

if the deletion of the file, does NOT help post

rpm -qa | grep wx
here please

Thank you for your answer!
I have no .eMule directory on my box (I did not find it in my home Dir/) so I did the commands you sent me.
here are the results:

[root@hhegab phd1]# rpm -qa | grep wx
wxBase-2.4.2-1
wxGTK-2.4.2-4.1.fc2.fr
[root@hhegab phd1]#

what should I do now :(?

hmm welll first reading helps :)

there should be an .eMule file ;) but anyways

the problem is this file


remove it with
rpm -e wxGTK-2.4.2-4.1.fc2.fr and also aMule

go to our download page, and install OUR wxGTK, and wxGTK-devel and OUR aMule rpm for fc2
after that restart your aMule and it should work again

Right now you can only change your GTK-Theme which will influence most of amules look (highlights, scrollbars, buttons, etc...). The "skin" option in the GUI tweaks is right now only a dummy for future features. But the priorities right now are more along the line stable 2.0final - KAD - remote GUI...
