Hi,

would it be possible to implement email notifications for completed downloads?  The user would supply the address of an smtp server and a login information, and of course an email address where to send the notification.  Then when a selected download completes aMule would send a short email message saying that the download has completed.

This is useful when the user is not at his computer, or when he is downloading very large files and doesn't want to check on them very often.

what do you think?

Already done  (atleast in V: 1.2.1) - Preferences | Notify

Hi,

No it's not already implemented, the fields to enter mail server and email are present, but there is no code already to handle the sending of email ...
