crash on gnome-panel death
« on: February 17, 2005, 02:34:21 PM »

Okay, this is not a definite _bug_ of aMule, but very inconvenient nevertheless. aMule is on the notification area of gnome-panel. gnome-panel crashes (actually has been killed), and this crashes aMule. Interestingly, it did crash half of the applications on the area (like gaim), but some stayed alive by putting their little icon in a separate window while there was no panel around (then moved back when it started). I believe this is an interesting problem: seems most application crashes, but it is possible not to. maybe it is a gdk/gtk problem?

[panel crashed here]

(amule:7840): Gdk-WARNING **: GdkWindow 0x1e0022c unexpectedly destroyed

(amule:7840): Gdk-WARNING **: GdkWindow 0x1e00227 unexpectedly destroyed
The program 'amule' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 15946591 error_code 3 request_code 18 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
