Blacklisted??
« on: February 18, 2005, 11:24:45 PM »

Hello and sorry for my english. Here's is my problem:
I recently installed aMule from apt (--version shows CVS but package said rc7 i think), and it runs flawessly. But I have noticed that when I try to connect to certain servers, they say me that Ive been blacklisted ???
I can connect to most other servers so thats okay, but seems strange (never had that problem before), because I did nothing that could get me blacklisted ?(
Anyway, thats not my real problem.
When I use aMule (I only need to use it for 5 minutes to reproduce this), I  get random bans from Google WTF??? 8o

Google
    We're sorry...

... but we can't process your request right now. A computer virus or spyware application is sending us automated requests, and it appears that your computer or network has been infected.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your computer is free of viruses and other spurious software.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

If i shutdown the computer and go to work and time passes, google works again, but when I start aMule, Im banned again.
Please I need help, maybe google is true and I have a Virus or Spyware??? (im using Linux so that sound strange to me).

Any help would be appreciated :baby:, thanks (having to choose beetwen losing google or amule is like having to choose beetwen losing hearing or speech ;()

The google "ban" isn't related to aMule. Google shows that message if you use the same search as some viruses do. Try, for instance, to search for "inurl:member.php?action=viewpro&member=" it'll show you that message.
