If you set the upload limit to zero do you have a relativ constant upload or see you the same behaviour like I?
I have tested so many things. Amule with an own wondershaper class with only one class and without. I see always the same behaviour as far as the shaper starts shaping. It only works if I set an upload limit which is lower than the shaper limit.
I have lowered the sfq queue but it doesn't help.

A very interesting point is that aMule doesn't seem to have this problem like the daemon. At least in CVS 20050516. Today I set in aMule the upload to zero with my standard tc config and it works. My ping is still very good and aMule uploads as much it it can without going to zero or to impossible high upload values.
I am very impressed. This is much better than USS. :baby:

amuled code has been reworked. I hope that from now on it will behave exactly as gui amule.

Really great job, amuled hasn't any problem with traffic shaping anymore. The today aMuled CVS seems to be more stable than the last one. Many thanks. :baby:

Hi. I followed this very interesting discussion and would like to request to get a traffic shaping shell script to setup such a nice shaping. I used to use one based on Fairnat and wondershaper since recently when changes in the linux kernel started to through errors and warnings when trying to invoke the shaper. Due to my limited experience and time to get in that topic, I'd like to get such a script to ease using my box for maximum upload. I have a 24/7 connection, set to 0.5Mbit download and 2.0Mbit upload. Aim for the shaper would be as low latency as possible and as much upload as possible. Many many thx in advance! Take care.
