Hello,
I've just downloaded aMule and am setting it all up.
I'm worried about security....
In the Directories section of the Preferences box there is a SHARED FILE section.
My entire file list is in there. I have set up a folder for mule stuff and it goes bold when I double click it's name. Does this now mean that this it the ONLY folder people can access?

exactly. only the folders with the bold names are the ones that are actually shared (plus the folder that is listed as your incoming folder above in the same dialog). folders with a red icon contain shared folders but are not shared themselves. this is for you to be able to quickly track down the actual shared folders without much searching.

in order to see which files are actually shared you can have a look at the "shared files window" (the one with the blue chest icon).
