still one process after shutdown
« on: June 02, 2005, 11:16:01 AM »

Hi,

I just found out, that after shutting down amule, there is still one amule process running.
This process takes something like 70% of the system time.

What can this be?

Can I kill this proces without danger for my filesystem?

Thanks
Karl

well if I shut down my mule, its gone...sure you have not started it twice or soemthing alike?
are you running amule or amuled ? is it maybe the amuleweb which is running?

btw if you kill the process, this will not hurt your file system in any way, the only thing it could hurt is the files currently downloaded, but if they get corrupted, amule will simple rehash them at startup. so not a big deal

I am running amule and in the processlist its name is amule. If in that situation I try to start another amule, he does not let me do it.

OK great, so i'll just kill him all the time.

In general I shut down the amule when he finalises a download. because then I can not watch movies any more. Is it possible that the remaining process is that copy proces?

Maybe that is the process that saves the data at shutdown. If you start amule in console, what is printed there after shutdown?
