Lost the shortcuts / links
« on: June 27, 2005, 06:53:31 PM »

Hello-

Everythings been running fine. Ran the last update and now I dont have any shortcuts to start up the program. [ it was under the K menu / Internet / More Programs].
So now I have to open a shell window and start it manually - then have two windows running all the time.
Is there a way to create a shortcut (like it was) so I can one-click to start up??

thanks for your help,

john-

Just open konqueror and point it to where amule executable is.....then click left side mousse button and drop it on your desktop...a little pop up window appears....finaly click create link.....then u are done...except the icon ....
I can assume that you know how to change the icon.....

Cheers....

Link - Didn't work

Ok - never assume...

I'm fairly new to Linux. But none the less, I tried dragging the file to the desktop and making the link on the desktop. When I do this - and attempt to use it - I then get a dialog box that wants to know what application to use?

I have tried browsing and pointing it back to /usr/bin/aMule - with no success.
But when I open Konquer and go to /usr/bin/aMule and click on it - the programs starts fine.
So I'm not sure what's wrong.

thanks for your help

It worked perfect when you create the link, starting from the desktop.

Thanks Again
