IP2Country
« on: July 11, 2005, 07:48:43 PM »

Hi!
I would like to see the IP2Country feature in future aMule.
Windows eMule mods' users know what I am writing about - country flags at user nicks.
I find that feature pretty useful.
There are many other eMule mods' features that I would like to see in aMule - most of them appear in MorphXT.
I think that porting code from emule mods could be quite easy... :)

Easy? Yes. Desirable? Probably not.

I don't see what's so useful on IP2Country.

Then you can put them into your Navigationsystem and drive to a source that has the complete file, and ask him if he would burn it to CD/DVD. :D

You could use it to see how many people from a particular country have a specific file, you could see where the servers are located and many more...
I know - it's not a must have but it's nice, could be optional.
Besides I wanted to get your attention to eMule mods which are more advanced than the ordinary eMule. Apart from eyecandys they have many useful features - ie. Safehash, .part.met backups, multisorting of downloads' columns, fullwindow view of queue/downloads/clients..., webcache...

  • SafeHash: On official
  • .part.met backup: On official
  • multisorting: On official
  • fullwindow view: Is that not eyecandy?
  • webcache: I urge you to do a forum search on webcache right now. I said every thread including webcache request will be closed inmediately.
