binding on two nics
« on: July 30, 2005, 12:45:37 PM »

Since some of my friends isps have an enforced firewall, I'm trying out nat-traverse to see if it can help. We can establish a five-node vpn and aMule works nice (if one of us runs a server in the vpn), but it is impossible to connect aMule to the "real" internet and the vpn at the same time since 10.* ips are invalid.
I don't know how to ask this correctly, but the standard ip filter blocks either lan or real ips but is there is lighter version, so aMule will share real high id sources with lan ip clients but not vice-versa? Or is there an easier way to make aMule work with nat-traverse?

In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet amounts to a car
parked in a bad part of town, with the doors unlocked, the key in
the ignition and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying, "Please
don't steal this."

ups, sorry. :]
nevermind, from august 1st on there will be no more enforced firewall, so that problem has somehow solved itself.
