Mac OS X and Low ID
« on: August 21, 2005, 03:12:35 PM »

Yo
I have an iBook G4 with Mac OS x on it. I have installed the newest aMule File and always get a Low ID. I disabled my Firewall but it didn`t help at all. What`s the Problem here? Anyone can help?

You also have to forward all the ports amule is using in your router. :)

If you have a Linksys or a D-Link router see section 3 and 4 on this page: http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Firewall

Yo dude
thanks for the info but i really don`t have a clue what to do....seems like i don`t have any of the stuff that manual is talking about, or at least i can´t find it. I don´t even know if i have have a router.....

Maybe you could give me some more advice on what to do...sorry but i am really not a computer guy. As i said i have a plain G4 with Mac Os X on it, accesing the Internet through ethernet connection....

Thanks anyways

Robinho, do you have a router, DSL modem, or cable modem?  If so, you will probably need to configure it to allow outside connections to reach your Mac.  You can read the manual that comes with it and/or look it up at http://www.portforward.com.
