Migration Guide from eMule to aMule
« on: August 25, 2005, 01:11:59 AM »

Hi All,
I don't know if it's the right place to do this announcement, but anyway, I've written a small guide to migrate from eMule to aMule, mainly to keep the configurations.

You can find it at http://matrixhasu.altervista.org/index.php?view=amule_config

If someone would comment/correct/integrate it, will be welcome!!

Thanks & bye

well nice guide,

dont forget to metion cryptkey.dat and preferences.dat those are your uniqe identifier to the other clients, so you keep your credits at their side, those 2 are really importand.

the clients.met just stores the other clients credits

nice guide. I only took a light overview but looks pretty nice :)

I made it sticky in the forums.

How about porting it to wiki? http://wiki.amule.org

Any add is welcome! I posted on this forum because I know it's not complete and I'd like to be filled with missing part by the community... Maybe the wiki could be... (read on)

hey pretty simple :)

go to this url http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/migrate_emule_to_amule

or pick one you like yourself better simple replace teh part after teh --> index.php/
with the url you like, the wiki will create a base page for ya, with a headline but no text, simple fill in the text tehn and your done :))

fuckya stefanero! ;-P

morph: only admins can delete pages. but if you delete all of a page's content, some admin will delete that page in some few hours ;-)

also, i'll be editting the article's style in a minute, so take a look at "recent changes" to see how wikis work. also, check http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMule_Project_FAQ:Help and http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/AMule_Project_FAQ:Policy

greets!

oh, i see you've already learned :) tell me when you're done reeditting it so i'll take a review ;)

also, you should try to use "==" "===" "====" etc instead of :) this way, an index is automagically created (you can avoid this index's creation by typing __NOTOC__ somewhere in the article).

that's what I'm looking for.... something even for fixed-font text and unnumbered lists?

thanks

ok, reviewed. I mostly fixed wiki language (always try to avoid html tags). I hope I kept it the way you want it to be ;)

yes you did. Thanks you!!

only a small problem with the command to print the categories: it's not wrapped and the page gets larger then the monitor.

Bye. I'm going in vacation, finally.....   8)
