Hi,
I use amuled+amulegui. I started amuled and then try to start amulegui: it connects to amuled but then I get this error on video "connect to remot aMule lost. Now exiting.", in the shell where i've launched the gui i got

Here I'm bakc again.

I tried to generate a backtrace for the problem. I've entered Ctrl+C when the popup window with written "connect to remot aMule lost. Now exiting." comes up.

did you compile both yourself? or use some debs from somewhere?

well as you probably already know from the other thread, you dont have no debug symbols in your pkg, so its hard to tell whats wrong,

when you have the time compile it both yourself and post a nice backtrace :)

There is a package with the debug-symbols for wx. Install that, and it should work. Amuled has the symbols.

I've installed libwxgtk2.6-dbg that seems to have debug simbols, but launching amulegui i see "This is aMule CVS using wxGTK2 v2.6.1 (Unicoded) (Snapshot: Sun Sep  4 07:02:06 CEST 2005) based on eMule." so i suppose that the new libs are not used.

and using gdb, i still got "(no debugging symbols found)". What should i do? shouldn't amuleugui be compiled with debug sybols insteald of wx (just guessing)?

welll I dont know if the debs from vollstrecker have debug enabled or not...
he said they have so....

maybe realy try to compile this stuff yourself ;) so you know what you have

Here I am!

after been able to compile amule-gui with debug symbols, I'm able to provide backtrace too. As mentioned in the second post, when the pop up window comes up, i'v Ctrl+C the app in gdb run.

I've compiled the 20050913 version and the amuled is 20050914, but than should not be the problem.

Hope that this may solve the issue

ps: I've attacched the log since with them, the post would be too large to be posted
