Sources Dropping / Options within
« on: September 10, 2005, 01:57:50 PM »

I was just wondering about the pro's and cons of the options in Sources Dropping.

What is the consensus, auto drop FQ/HQ on or off?

so clients which give you a full quere ranking or a high queue ranking dont block your sources, since they would take a long time to start you can drop them adn "try" to find better souces which give you a lower queue rank

but this is only a benefit for really popular files where sources_available > max_sources_per_file, right?
with less popular files it's actually harmful b/c you throw away sources that could have come in handy eventually.
