--enable-kad-compile in CVS-spec
« on: September 13, 2005, 10:28:14 AM »

Good morning!
I hope this is the right forum for this, if not please move it.
Since I've startet to compile aMule CVS to RPM on my Suse 9.3-machine I think it's a bit annoying to add the kad-flag in the spec every time I want to compile.
I think CVS is for testing thus KAD should be enabled by default. This would cost me less time and provide more testers for KAD.
Thank you in advance

That's the way I unterstand it:
When you build a RPM-package you'll get a binary with KAD enabled.
If you compile from tarball you have to write --enable-kad-compile as usual.

I added to the aMule-CVS.spec the configure flag --enable-kad-compile....so when you build the amule-cvs.rpms you should have kad enabled by default.
if not tell me ;)
there is also a 2nd spec file in the cvs tarball but its acutally for "normal" releases, so I hope this does not get used.

WTF, shouldn't I be the one deciding the Kad defaults? :p

Please don't change it...:(
I don't want to untar the tarball, edit the spec and re-tar the whole thing, just because I want KAD on my RPM...:(

more poepel will download tar.gz and there they can enable it anyways...
