Tiger: Crashes each & everytime after 30 mins
« on: September 24, 2005, 04:10:51 AM »

Hi all,
This has been mentioned before, but the suggested solutions didn't help me.

I am running Amule 2.0.3 on an iMac G5 2.0Ghz and everything was working fine and then all of a sudden, it just started crashing. Further investigating has shown it is always at roughly 30 mins of connection time.

It occurs when I have 3 programs running or none and I have played with all the connection settings (dropping them right down and up) and nothing changes, it still crashes. I also run Peerguardian 0.04 and am thinking that may be the issue.

When it crashes I have no option but to restart by the power button as the whole system locks up and I can't access any programs or even force quit Amule.

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm not familiar with PeerGuardian.  (I thought it was a Windows program.  I see there's a new port.)

If you suspect it, and given it's early developmental state I think you should, I would definitely try running without it for a while.  Does aMule still lock up the system after 30 minutes?

Unfortunately, because the system locks up and doesn't seem to create any crash logs, it's going to be hard to diagnose this problem.  All I can say is that this doesn't seem to be happening for other Tiger users.  (Although we have other problems.  ;))
