hmm, strange. I also have the same problem (LowID) just since now (in the past I had always HighID).
I tried changing the ports (in amule and the portforwarding in the router): still LowID
I also tried connecting to other servers: I can connect to them and then get a new ID from the server, but it always stays a LowID.
But amule is still downloading fine.

What version are you using?

aMule CVS using wxGTK2 v2.6.1 (Unicoded) (Snapshot: Mon Oct  3 07:02:04 CEST 2005) (OS: Linux)

Could it be the server?

I am having the same problem: no changes, suddenly LowID.

BUT there is one server that is giving me HighID. So it's not likely to be my router-firewall-whatever. I noticed today that I am getting LowIDs from servers on lugdunum 17.7; I get HighID from ChezToff (Serveur Fr), which is in lugdunum 17.6.

Perhaps it's a coincidence. Can somebody else confirm or deny?

In case someone is wondering, aMule 2.0.3 using wxGTK1 v2.6.0 (OS: Linux)

Well... i guess we all have that problem...for me since cvs 20051004.
If you disconnect kad, amule works fine....kad is the problem....I hope Kry or somebody read these lines since in my case it consumes all the upload bandwith even when is tuned to upload only 4KB/s and of course my cpu is allways up to 100% usage....

Strange stuff:
