Compile aMule CVS in ubuntu breezy
« on: October 16, 2005, 09:50:32 PM »

Hello,

   Because the wiki is down and also because the compiling in Debian procedure described in the wiki (well, what I see in the google cache, anyway) stopped working in Ubuntu (I'm just a user, I don't know why!), I've posted what worked for me to compile CVS in Ubuntu Breezy with Kad support enabled.

   I hope it is useful to someone and please beware that I don't really know what I'm doing - I just barely understand the concepts and was able to get this working.

   You can check it out at:

http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=77300

   Thanks people for the great work with aMule!

   Cheers,

Federico.

EDIT:
There's also a link to amule packages made for ubuntu!

Code: [Select]
I build aMule CVS debian packages for Breezy from time to time. You can find them at
http://koti.mbnet.fi/~ots/ubuntu/breezy/

Note the different packaging. Most people will want the following

    * amule
    * amule-common
    * amule-ed2k

The debian source is at
http://www.vollstreckernet.de/debian/

And my modified source is at
http://koti.mbnet.fi/~ots/ubuntu/source/

I only change the wx dependency's version number, so the source is not much different from that at vollstreckernet.
