button "reduce/restore transmittion speed"
« on: October 22, 2005, 02:51:12 PM »

Hi!
When I use Skype, I need to stop amule - there is no fast way to reduce tranmittion speed :(
It seems to me, that this button could be very usefull. And 4 parameters, off course: upload / download , normal_mode / reduced_mode .

In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet amounts to a car
parked in a bad part of town, with the doors unlocked, the key in
the ignition and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying, "Please
don't steal this."

Another option is to  create an alias or simple shell script for reducing amule's up-bandwidth, based on:
/your/path/to/amulecmd  -c "SetUpBWLimit 5"
(and then another one for increasing the upload rate again)

It's too slow when I answer - I have set both - up- and download - to 80% of my channel, so I have to reduce both.
When I call - yes, of course, it's enough...
