File BlackList
« on: October 28, 2005, 07:58:15 PM »

Hi,
is it possible to have a blacklist, where place the hash (unique id) of files not to be downloaded?

I'm thinking about (mainly) to sure not completed source. For example, searching for an album:

1. search that album and choose some sources
2. find that only one is full and other are not completed (almost for sure: 100 guys and no full source available, for example).
3. delete that source not compelte
4. found that the only one full source available is a fake
5. search that album again
6. you may choose the not cmpleted source again, since they are no more in your download list nor they are donwloaded

You can mark it as barred (font with chars and an horizontal line at center) in search list.

You could even think about some sort of import/export of that blacklist; maybe some sort of "negative source exchange", so that the information is propagated to clients that tries to download that file.

And an entry in the contextual menu in download list should be added to add the current selected file to the blacklist.

What about?

Thanks & regards.

Yeah in addition to marking completed downloads green in the search result list, mark canceled downloads red.
I miss that feature. Also filed a bug in bugs.amule.org: http://bugs.amule.org/view.php?id=678
