A scourge upon the p2p world
« on: November 16, 2005, 01:52:59 AM »

Well okay maybe not on the p2p world so much as on me.  And perhaps it's not really classified as aMule help.............

It seems that recently (within the last couple days) my 'ISP' has begun to use a new device, a sort of p2p filter if you will, details described at http://www.ipoque.com/en/p2p_filter.html   (moderators: I hope that doesn't qualify as copyrighted material)

So for the last day or two my aMule uploads have been very unstable and the downloads, well they've dropped off to nothing.

What am I to do about this?  I have no possibility to SSH the data through some intermediary neutral point, I'm no programming genius, I have no further port options to explore (which according to the URL will make no difference anyway) but I really really want to get my p2p on!!!!  (That's why we're all here, right?)

Sure you might laugh but this is coming to an ISP near and dear to you soon!

The world has ended.

Search the forum - this issues is already discussed. In short: what you ISP is doing is illegal, unless explicitly stated in contract you signed. Know your rights - change provider or apeal to court.
