remixerchile, I'm afraid I don't understand exactly what is happening.  You might try a more recent build of aMule for the Mac.  See this thread.  Maybe it has been fixed already.

I have a similar problem
« Reply #4 on: November 29, 2005, 12:28:27 PM »

Hi there!

I'm running aMule version 2.0.3 in a Ubuntu Hoary, and I have a similar problem. Anytime I try to do a global search (not a local search), aMule hangs and I can't kill the Amule process or anything. Only aMule hangs, my ADSL connection still works after the crash and I can use any other application that requires Internet access.

I don't know if the problem is because of the number of results the search returns, or because any other reason, so any help will be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Was another problem
« Reply #6 on: November 30, 2005, 09:38:21 AM »

I'm sorry, my problem was due to something completely different.

I have a 120GB IDE hard disc connected to a USB Port via an IDE-to-USB external box. The disc suffered previously from overheating when I was using it internally in another computer, and now it doesn't work fine. It mainly works, but sometimes it takes a lot of time reading or writing data, and I'm afraid aMule hangs when it tries to access the disc and the disc stop responding. (My aMule is configured to have the Temp and Incoming directories in that disc.)

Maybe the crashes when I tried to do global searches were mere coincidences. Well, time to buy another hard disc...

oizram, I don't remember 2.0.3 having that problem, but you might try one of the aMule CVS binaries that lionel77 posts over in the Mac OS X forum.

There seem to be problems with USB external hard drives. But I have a LOT of interest in putting temp and incoming in a hard drive with a USB enclosure. Does anyone know of anything that mey help?

  thank you
