getting started
« on: December 12, 2005, 11:22:45 AM »

Sorry if this is the wrong place or the wrong way to post a question. I am still unfamiliar with the system. This is my question: I use Mac OSX with an ADSL connection, I just downloaded amule (this version: aMule-Mac.CVS.2005-12-11.noDebug.zip ). But the main amule screen tells me that it is not connected. What should I do? Thank you for not telling me off on my first post.

well you need to download a server.met file first

http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Getting_Started

^^ read this link and check for "connecting to a server"

this guide is pretty much complete so it should also help you on the rest of your problems, if not just ask

In its default setup, Windows XP on the Internet amounts to a car
parked in a bad part of town, with the doors unlocked, the key in
the ignition and a Post-It note on the dashboard saying, "Please
don't steal this."
