1000 Mbit Connection - How to use it with amule?
« on: December 12, 2005, 09:16:05 PM »

Hello,

i have a 1000mbit (1gbit) connection.
My max. download speed with amule is as i noticed about 100kb/s.
is there a way to make it faster?? i mean is there something i can tweak? i know if the people on the other side has dialup or dsl with slower connection it will not work, maybe if i download from many sources...

my settings:

Connection:
Capacitiy: 2000 kb/s
upload: 300kb/s
slot: 29
hardlimit: 700
max. connections: 800

Q.

hum?
you can never be faster then your physical line...there is just NO way you can tweak it.

so putting up your line capacity to 2000 instead of the 1000 you got wont help there aswell.

call your ISP pay more and you will get higher downloads....

i dont want to use the whole bandwidth for the mule, so i set up max 2000 kb/s (not kbit) down and 300up, but i still get about 100 kb/s down max - the uploads are about 50kb/s, i think the users on the other side can download it faster... some people are downloading with 0,3.. 2kb/s.

but it seems to work if i sleep, amule downloaded over 10gb over the night.
