get the speed of amule

hi!
how is it possible to get the download speed of amule?
i want to display it in my torsmo (or an other display plugin)

A good place to take a look at would be the mac forum, there's a dashboard-topic.
The online-signatur-feature would be a possibility, you would have to parse a textfile generated by amule or you ask via amulecmd.
Using EC and asking amule directly would imho be another option, but I don't have a clue about that.

thanks for you post... but i even found a nice method:

emule settings: activate onlinesig (this will create a file in folder of you choose)
read the onlinesig.dat out with a script
