I blame your wx, could you please try to upgrade to 2.6.2 [with Unicode-Patch for NLS]?

I'm a bit unsure, wheter this is really the source of the error. (My approach to fix it would be compiling everything from source after patching, but I don't know whether it's really neccesary.) Could you please describe the circumstances of the crash? (Just after starting? After some hours?...)

Let's stick with English, it's the English forum here.

It's the error I thought about. A workaround is to open your ~/.aMule/amule.conf and change 'language=xxx' to 'language=en_US'.
NLS (native language support) in combination with Unicode does not work with unpatched wxGTK 2.6.2 thus you either have to compile a new wxGTK with the applied patch or you have to use aMule in English.

I well, with that would not have any problem but I can not find the list and the file. Where is this installed more normally wisely? I thought into the Root list.  ?(

OK, sorry for my insufficient explanation.

~/.aMule/amule.conf is the path to your config file. '~' is your /home/username folder. .aMule with the dot in front of the name is a hidden directory on Unix.
Use alt+f2 to open the 'execute' dialog. There you type 'gedit ~/.aMule/amule.conf' (replace gedit with kwrite on KDE)  to open the file with an editor.
Then you search for the line 'Language=de_DE' (or empty) and replace it with 'Language=en_US'.
Save the file and try again to start amule. :)

I must have inserted the line in the file. He still falls away now, however.

Strange...either it's me being dumb or the error is somewhere else...
Could you please try to compile (and install) and then recompile aMule?

Some usefull links:
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Wx-cvs
http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Compilation_Installation

Sorry that this didn't help and you now have to compile. :(
Take it as something everybody should learn one day.
