Amule Crashes behind PROXY
« on: March 27, 2006, 12:58:30 PM »

I'm running aMule as root.
aMule crashes behind proxy on 8080 port.
I'm in intranet and i have specified HTTP PROXY information and authentication.

Server list is updated manually overwriting server.met with actual 2.1.1 server list included:
http://ocbmaurice.dyns.net/pl/slist.pl?download/server-best.met

When trying to connect aMule crashes with following:

----------------------------=| BACKTRACE FOLLOWS: |=----------------------------
Current version is: aMule 2.1.1 using wxGTK2 v2.6.2 (Unicoded)
Running on: Linux 2.4.27-2-386 i686

Maybe i have to do manual settings to forward port on PROXY?
Probably it is blocking ports on my PC but i'm trying to connect at least with Low ID.

I was forced to manually download server.met and overwrite it because aMule was not able to automatically download from link that comes with 2.1.1 release.
Probably it does'n't use PROXY to download the server list,.

Thanks fto all for the support, i'm waiting for your response.
If necessary i'll produce a real backtrace.

No, I mean I need a free proxy I can access from here so I can test proxy with aMule. It was a call for everyone, not only you.

wsycqyz,

I can only fix a problem if I can reproduce a problem. If you point me to a server that requires authentication and I can reproduce it here, then there is a chance we can make it work. Send me a private message if you prefer.

Cheers!
