This seems to be a problem with the serverlist, the host doesn't work anymore.
You need to use another list.

Do this, first stop aMule.
Then visit ed2k.2x4u.de and save the list to ~/.aMule/server.met
Now you can start aMule again and it is supposed to work.

Nice Greets

ed2k://|server|62.241.53.2|4242|/

ed2k://|server|62.241.53.4|4242|/

way much easier then with stupid non-working server list is to add a server, and get teh rest of the servers on the ed2k network from it...

add one of those 2 servers to your server list, and tehn connect to it...amule should automatically add the rest of the servers to the list when connected....
if not check in amule-prefs that -> automatically update server list from connected server is checked

you can also do the same for clients, so once you are connceted, you actually never have to worry about this list again

btw: the list link is without the www just simple http://ed2k.2x4u.de

nowhere,

go to that url, download the file "by hand"

and then put it into your aMule directory, so aMule can read it...

but I have no clue where taht is unter MacOS, you might want to search the forum for that,

or take the more "easy" way I already posted, and simple add those 2 servers and connect....

On Mac OS X, the folder in which you want to put the server.met file is "~/Library/Application Support/aMule".
("~" represents your home folder)

I'm using a router with firewall (hardware) - could this be the reason?

ip suggest?!

I hope you not mean

 ed2k://|server|62.241.53.2|4242|/

ed2k://|server|62.241.53.4|4242|/

those are SERVERs , so you are just supposed to add the link to amule, and use one of those 2 servers to connect...thast it

no need for a server list at all....

Manual server add:

Name : server 1
IP : ed2k://62.241.53.4/
PORT : 4242

clicking "Add"
righ-clicking the new server on the list=>"connect"

Is that currect ? is that what i should do? 'cos it won't work.

you know what a IP is? I guess not...

Name : server 1
IP : 62.241.53.4
PORT : 4242

or you can use the ed2k link handler if this works on mac....simple copy the ed2k-link in there and click add
