Import partfiles - Unknown or bad tempfile format.
« on: April 09, 2006, 02:34:34 PM »

Greetings to all.

I'm new to linux and I'm trying to setup aMule on Mandrake 10.1 Official to use existing temp files downloaded using eMule on a Windows XP partition.

I've downloaded and setup aMule, and changed my XP partition permissions in etc\fstab as per this thread http://forum.amule.org/thread.php?threadid=588&sid=&hilight=windows. I think I've done this correctly, as when I next started aMule several files from my XP partition that were previously not present were suddenly present in my downloads section, although they all reported having completed 0 bytes, and not the amount having been downloaded previously using eMule.

When I attempt to use the import partfile tool, and point it to my XP partition containing the eMule temp directory, it attempts to import the files but will always return 'Unknown or bad tempfile format'. This changed after performing the actions detailed in the thread above, and the files that I found in my downloads section reported 'Already downloading' instead. It seems that aMule has now recognised only three of the files I was downloading in eMule, but it has not registered the previous amount of data downloaded for these files or the remaining files that were downloading using eMule. Why do only three of my files get imported, and why at 0 bytes downloaded??

If anyone could shed some light as to what i'm doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated, I've been trawling these forums and have found a lot of useful info, but now I'm not sure what to do.

Thanks in advance
