I do not know why I have been blacklisted from numerous servers :
I am very recent aMule user and when I try to connect, most of the servers refuse to connect and the log says : "Connection refused. Your IP is currently blacklisted"
What should I do to stop being blacklisted?

Change the number of max connections in the preferences to something like 10 per 5 sec..
That should do the trick of been blacklisted....Which is not a big deal since you only be blacklisted for about 2 hours...

I am afraid I do not manage to solve this problem, and this might be because I am not sure I found where in the preferences to change the number of connections:(

I tried something called "bandwidth limits" and I put a higer number but that did not seem to help... Could you please help me with this situation...

It's in Preferences -> Core Tweaks -> Max new connections / 5 sec

Well changing the number of max connections to 10 per five seconds did not help me from being blacklisted....:((

I can log on to certain servers, but I cannot log on to those which have the most users (like donkey server1 for instance).

The information from the emule log looks like this :
2006-05-24 23:17:11: Servers: Trying to connect
2006-05-24 23:17:11: Connecting to DonkeyServer No2  (62.241.53.16 - 62.241.53.16:4242)
2006-05-24 23:17:11: Connected to DonkeyServer No2  (62.241.53.16:4242)
2006-05-24 23:17:11: Error: DonkeyServer No2  (62.241.53.16:4242) -  : Connection refused. Your IP is currently blacklisted.

What should I do?? I did not do anything to deserve this...

Could anyone help??

You charged the server too much by trying to connect too often or asking too often for sources and thus you were blacklisted.

Have you enabled 'Safe connect' in Preferences->Server?

I see that you have a cable connection, is there any possibility to get a new IP? This should (temporary) solve the problem in any case.
