Part File Importer
« on: July 14, 2006, 11:54:58 PM »

I've just installed 2.1.3 on MacOSX 10.4.7 an hour ago, done configuration setup, and have aMule working. Until today, I've used eDonkey2000, so now I'd like to resume these in-progress downloads in aMule.  So, following the procedure from the Usage_Import page of the Wiki, I have attempted to add the ~/Applications/eDonkey/temp folder to the import list.  After selecting this folder, I am prompted to choose whether to delete the eDonkey source files (I respond 'No'), but then the files are not added at all to the import list.  There -are- part files in the eDonkey temp directory, but they are seeminly ignored.  No errors or warnings appear in the Console.log.  My login account owns the entire eDonkey directory tree.  What steps can I use to narrow this down?  I don't have bug-tracker access, so I can't see if this is a known problem.  I didn't notice a symptom lquite ike this described elsewhere in the forum or the FAQ (for this aMule version).

Welcome William!

There was a change in the part-file format of edonkey quite some time ago which differs now from the e/amule part-file format. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the importer imports only e/amule-style part-files. IIRC is there a way to have edonkey use the old part-file format which should be importable into aMule.

Hope I'm not telling wrong things and I could help you a bit.

Regards
