Migrating from eMulePlus
« on: September 13, 2006, 08:35:17 AM »

Hi,

I have recently purchased an Intel iMac and would like to run aMule.  I have an existing eMulePlus installation and was wondering which files I need to transfer across to keep my credits.

On the emuleplus site it tells me to keep the userhash.dat, however I can find no mention of it here.  Can someone confirm which files are required/used by aMule?

Cheers.

If emule+ uses the same config files as regular emule: You need to copy preferences.dat and cryptkey.dat to the settings directory of amule (sorry, no idea where that is located on macos, on linux it's /home/user/.aMule/).

On Mac OS X, the folder is "~/Library/Application Support/aMule", instead of "~/.aMule".
