User interface desing problems
« on: November 25, 2006, 08:17:16 PM »

Hi,
Thanks guys for this program I just switch to Mac from PC and started use aMule. I like performance, but there is few small things in UI which make sometimes problem on my macbook.
My screen resolution is 1280x800 (not many notebooks has higher resolution).

In preferences panel is OK button hiding under dock (the panel is too long) and does not react on enter, cursor keys or TAB.

Font for status line on botom is too big. (I can't read all what is writen there, mainly status of connection, I don't care much for the file name in beginning). Is there any way how to choose font size for aMule, because font which is used is too big for this resolution.

In the file transfer window if I double click on file to see from who I am downloading, clients are not sorted by my selection in the collums above, but I have to always resort it manualy.

I just wanted to let you know that there are this issues. This are small things, but they can make end users happier when they use aMule.

                                            Good luck

You're basically correct on all counts.

At the moment, I can only really offer a workaround for the Preferences dialog.  You can change the Dock to display on a different edge of the screen.  See the Dock submenu under the Apple menu.

Or, you can reposition the Preferences dialog to the left or the right until the OK button is no longer behind the Dock.  (This depends on how many items are on your Dock.)
