Application conflict
« on: January 18, 2007, 11:14:09 PM »

When I open aMule AND then BOINC http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ , aMule freezes.
Quitting Boinc resolves the problem immediatly...

I don't know if the application (aMule) is still running properly (download and/or upload) during this issue.

It's no bigdeal, I just wanted to tell someone.

Edit:

Well, it seems i got the same problem with StuffIt Expander10.0. When I expand a file, aMule freezes.
I don't think these are the only 2 softwares freezing aMule...

When I close the other programs, aMule comes back to normal, the speed are slower though...

Did I miss something in the forum? Can anyone tell me what's happening please?

The conflict with BOINC is known and has been discussed in the forums.  However, there's no known solution (if I remember correctly) other than to avoid running them both together.  The problem with StuffIt Expander is news to me, but it's probably just a result of StuffIt monopolizing the CPU while it works.

thanks for the answer, and sorry to "flood" the forum with topics that already had been discussed... I just didn't see it...
