lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root    22 Oct 28 21:52 /usr/bin/wx-config -> /usr/bin/wx-config-2.6
lrwxr-xr-x 1 root root    43 Oct 28 21:52 /usr/bin/wx-config-2.6 -> /usr/lib/wx/config/gtk2-unicode-release-2.6
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 75612 Oct 28 21:52 /usr/bin/wxrc-2.6

$ amule --version

I think the problem is that lists and textboxes take the font color assigned to the buttons (white). If that is true, then that should be fixed in wxwidgets, not in aMule. Try with another themes and see if what I say holds for other themes. You can also modify the theme so it shows black text.
