[r9371] Stopping a search fails
« on: January 13, 2009, 01:26:56 AM »

Hi all,

stop button in the search dialog is not working properly. Just start a new search and push the stop button while the search is still active. Button gets disabled but search keeps running (! symbol is shown on tab) and you are not able to start a new search. It's just annoying if you have a typo in your search expression (you can't correct it and start a new one until the previous has finished). Rev 9304 also had this issue.

I'm using KAD for searching (ed2k not connected).

System: fedora 9 x86_64 kernel 2.6.27.7-53.fc9.x86_64
aMule SVN using wxGTK2 v2.8.9 (Debugging) (Snapshot: rev. 9371)

Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks for your help and for your great work on this app!

I think you simply can't stop a Kad search. You send the keyword to some nodes, they pass it on and on, and at some time answers keep arriving at yours.
