SMALL FILES BUG
« on: November 13, 2003, 01:41:21 AM »

Just to have it written down somewhere:
The small files bug (files smaller that 9.28MB) was introduced with version 1.1.1 of aMule, 1.1.0 works.

If you had read the post, the bug occured in 1.1.1 and was known since about one week before it had been fixed.
I wrote this post to have the results of my extensive research written down somewhere.
No one did the research on this bug until I did, and with my results Kry fixed the bug. So this bug was fixed within 10 days.

I tried the sourceforge cvs version, but without any luck. It still didn't found any of the many small I'm looking for and I know they are available. Furthermore it ended after a few hours in a oops ...

Is there a lag between your developper cvs access and the one currently available on sourceforge ? Doesn't seems to be the case though, since the folllowing is mentioned in the cvs ChangeLog:

      * Fixed Small Files bug.
        Thanks to Citroklar for his research on this one.
        He tested all versions to find when did the bug enter amule.

I guess either you're lucky or I did something wrong? But what ?

And it crashed badly several times now.
Never did that on me before with any of the lmule/xmule/amule version I tried.
And I've tried a lot of them ...

whent back to 1.1.2 for now on and will recompile 1.0.9

the actualy cvs isn't very stable, thats why it crash a lot .. use the 1.1.2 release and wait for 1.2.0..

It says Small files bug fixed, not "amule 1.2.0 ready for release"
