deleting shared files
« on: May 02, 2004, 11:27:38 PM »

i'm using a compiled tar of rc3 & debian testing & ext3 fs

not sure this is a bug or something wrong with my setup but i deleted a few files from the incoming directory, reloaded amule shared files list
the files were removed from the shared list alright but the hard drive space was not freed, not until i closed amule..

stability is much better than rc2, so far amule never crashed, my longest test run was 30 hours straight, CPU load is ultra low (aprox 3% on my p3 500), used memory is very limited (5% out of 256M), very nice work !

I've had the same problem since kernel 2.4.23. With or without aMule running. I'm almost sure it's a bug on the kernel. If the files are deleted, it's the kernel's problem to be aware of that, but for some weird reason, it sometimes takes around ten minutes or even more for the kernel to realize :-/
If someone has a better guess, opinions are appreciated. Since I have this problem both with aMule opened or closed, I'm almost sure it's a kernel bug.
Greetings!
