webserver problems
« on: July 28, 2004, 07:47:04 AM »

HI!

When I start amuleweb and connect with a browser, I get lots of popup windows from amule, because "can't create link with low-id" or something (I know, I have a low-id).

Sometimes the browser displays the download list correct, sometimes it's empty. To fix this, I have to restart amuleweb AND amule.

One time, after having used amuleweb and stopped it, later amule's CPU usage shot up to 60% and stayed there (had to restart amule to fix that).
Since not using amuleweb anymore, this did not happen anymore.

hey
this problem could be due to "lowID"
I check taht with the devel of webserver aswell....

the problem with the downloadlist being emtpy could be if you push to many links in amule at the same time, or for example teh transfer button to fast in a row....

the more downloads you have the longer it takes to (re)load the transfer page, it can sometimes take up to 20sec.

sidamos, stefanero,

I have committed the fix for the lowid pop-up problem. Please, get the next cvs tarball and test. Any problems, please report.

Cheers!

I tried the cvs tarball from today, it doesn't work...  ?(

When testing it on my local machine, every time I click on "transfer" or "shared files", I get this error message popup saying "can't create link with low-id" or so...

Any ideas?

I'm using aMule-2.0.0rc5-1.i586-SuSE_9.rpm on a SuSE 9.0 machine and copied the amule-cvs/src/webserver dir and amule-cvs/src/aMule.tmpl to ~/.aMule according to http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Webserver.

try TODAY's cvs, since the cvs tarball is released at night, and the cvs you tied yesterday didn't have the lwid fix yet.
Greetings!

Xaignar did something about it, but from what I can read on IRC, I can imagine it's not working :P
So, nevermind. Expect a fix on near CVS release.

Low Id bug has been fixed in current cvs.

This is something different from the low id bug. I think that there is some reason why you can't create a link when you are low id, there is code there to explicitly protect against it. What i did was to remove the pop up in the guy when you are accessing through the web interface, otherwise lots of pop ups would appear without no one to click on them.

i think i had the same problem, mine said highid
i ended up enabling ports that my firewall blocked to get it to work
the ports that need to be enabled are listed in the terminal window that you type amule in.
