can't read from file descriptor

helloooooooo
aMule started popping me this message every 5 seconds:

can't read from file descriptor 72 (error 5: Input/output error)

anybody knows what this means?
also, the title of the window says something EMule... which reminds me of how I used to do my physics lab reports... once I almost forgot to change the name of the submitter... that could have been a hoot.

nevermind.. so what do I do?:) it's a boog, ain't it?

edit: I'd like to say that these messages came unprovoked! I didn't do anything to aMule beforehand... just changed servers a couple of minutes before that.

Nevermind, missed the "aMule-2.0.0rc5". IIRC, this has been fixed in CVS, so you could try installing a cvs snapshot.

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah, about that, dude...
maybe you can help me.. I'm rather new to this Linux thing... I'm coming along nicely but I couldn't deal with this error I got when trying to compile aMule's CVS...
now, I did the: ./configure --disable-debug --enable-optimise && make
and eventually what I got is in the attachment.
I'd really apreciate it if anybody would take a minute to look at it cuz like.. to you it might mean something but all I can see is "OMG SOMETHING'S WRONG, CALL SOMEBODY".

Uh, looks like you're missing some pretty basic include files. You might want to check the documentation of your distro, but I cant say more than that for this information, since I haven't really seen this problem before.

I just had an idea.
maybe cuz my CPU is o.c'ed and the cpufreq program doesn't recognize it or something so programs related to cpu optimization wasn't installed right?

btw, I run MDK 10.1 community if it helps...

No dude,

No relation to overclock. Unless your processor is misbehaving, but in this case everithing would fail.

Instead of posting config.log, paste the output of configure, so that we can see the error.

Could be a problem with your hard disk? I dont know, maybe you are out of space? check:
$ df -h

anywayz, I got plenty of free space... maybe 900M.B on that particular partition.

The output of configure is a whole lot easier to read, most of the time. ;)
