Eating all memory on Fedora 30
« on: July 25, 2019, 03:14:38 AM »

Since I upgraded to Fedora 30 amule became unusable. Once a file download started the memory usage (RES in top) quickly increases until the whole computer freezes. It takes about a minute for amule to consume all 32 GB of memory I have in that computer. I tried the official Fedora package and I built from latest git sources - the result is always the same. What else should I try?

You could try building with the mmap option. Some users report solving crashes by en-/disabling debug option for compiling. As I'm pretty sure the version of amule didn't change between FC29>30, this can be caused by any updated lib used by amule, so it'll be hard to give advice there.

I had the same problem, now solved using amuled & amulecmd.
Different libs?
