webserver incomplete output
« on: December 15, 2004, 04:08:09 PM »

Hi!

Thanks for the great job. aMule works great on my computer now. I'm using CVS from 2004-12-14, and noticed the webserver is faster now. That's great, but, a long-standing bug seems to be still present (I noticed it in RC3 maybe, not sure before that). When I load some pages in the webserver, those never load completely. For example: the transfers page, never displays the 100 downloads I have currently enqueued, and doesn't display the current queue information.

Also, the initial amule logo (in the login screen) is never shown complete. Same thing using either firefox or IE6. Strange thing is, this only happens when I connect from my office to it. Have never tried from a different computer, but from the same computer running amule, works fine. The problem is not with my connection, since emule has always worked fine, and pages load completely and fast.

Thanks!

Skolnick.

Looks like amuleweb still failing to send large requests over network with high delay. I will check if we still have problem in socket code.
btw, do you have gzip enabled ?

Hi!

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if gzip is enabled, but I think it is, because I know it's a good thing, so I most probably enabled it.

Regards.

Thanks Jacobo221, I checked, and just as I expected it, gzip compression is enabled. It has always been enabled. I'll wait, and see if the problem gets solved in some CVS version, or wait until RC8. BTW, nice work on this CVS version! at last stopped files are different color than non-sources files, there is message filtering and the webserver is much faster than the RC7 one. I really like aMule.

Thanks!

OK guys, so you finally made it! the webserver works damn fast and files are complete (using CVS 20041221 now) so I believe this is also OK on RC8. Congratulations! great work!
