amulegui doesn't start download
« on: March 27, 2005, 08:59:48 PM »

Hi,
I have successfully build the 27March's snapshot, but it doesn't start any download.
The Search and Connect/Disconnect function are ok, but the download function doesn' work? Is it a bug or simply it hasn't been implemented yet?

Thanks in advnce

No, the daemon doesn't download because there's nothing to download...

ok thats not implemented yet, only watching the downloads atm..and some stats I think

you can use your ed2k tool for taht
on teh command line

ed2k "ed2k_link_here"

and it will send it to teh deamon :)

I'm trying amuleweb and also I can't download. The message log said that cannot create .part file and cannot open partfile, ERROR while saving partfile: .part file not found(001.part.met => ...
I'm trying to running amuled like a service from /etc/init.d/amuled ... and the problem seems to be the permission on /home/p2p/.aMule/....
I'm a mldonkey user an I'm used to store all temp, incoming and shared directory in /home/p2p/.mldonkey/ so any user can access this for share and start download. Is possible to do something similar with amuled, or just only the user who run amuled can start download?

There is a very good wiki which should solve your problem http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Ed2k_links_handling
If you don't are in front of the computer on which amuled is running you can just use the cmd to send links.

I have solved with the lastest snapshot 20050329, and now I can run amuled as a service from /etc/init.d/amuled and the .aMule/ directory is stored in /home/p2p and finally any user can launch download from amulegui or amuleweb.
