friendslots not working

Hallo guys,

last CVS I tried (0326,0310) seemed to have problems with making friendslots. The slots won't be enabled in the gui (button stays default) and no fs is setted up.

Another thing is that old friends won't be imported correct:
Already added friends will be marked as friend in the queue, but no possibilty to add a friendslot (not enabled in the menu). Only way is to remove and add again. Unfortunately the above will happen then.

Hmm, in 20050327-Version, friendslots are working again, but there still no activated button in the menu and the friends import is not working too.


BTW:
I would like to see better relase options in aMule. I like the powershare option, but today there are windowsclients which have better control over releasing of files.

What about the overshare feature, that let a releasing client hide already well known chunks? This is a very good feature that will spread a file more efficicently.

Another thing is better friendslot options. To prerelease, it is very good to have a kind of friendslot list which will automatically change friendslot owners according to a defined event, like every completed chunk or some amount of data or something else.

Kry, thanks for your attention to this point but I'm sorry, this is still not complety working for me  using CVS 20050402 on a SuSi 9.0, with KDE 3.2.2. and wx* 2.4.2.

The good news is: friendupload seems to work stable.

The bad news:
- There is still no activated button even the client rating in queue details is shown like a friendslot one and friendupload works.

- The import of known friends couriously works for some former known friends but not all (I couldn't figure out the difference between working and non-working ones), and even worser these working and non-working friends are not always the same after changing the active gui window?!

- New added or known friends sometimes won't have the full context menu in Messages->Friends (bug may be in context to the above one).

Yes, the button is working again. The other issues - not.

But hopefully there is a hint for you: it seems to me that every time, the former friend changes his IP-adress and connects to my queue again or my own client restarts its network connect (and changes its ip) the last session added friends get lost.

FS still not working [todays cvs (27.04)] - i see ppl from my friendslist in the queue but i they're marked as offline in the friendslist!

First of all, as usual, thanks for you work, aMule team :)

As today, still not working. I have to remove a friend from the friend list, then add to it again and aMule will see him/her... until the next time (s)he disconnects. Most annoying!  :]

Well, probably 2.0.1 too, as I still have problems with FS in 2.0.0 and wxGTK 2.6.. ;)

Heh, ok, sorry.
1. Often 'Establish Friend Slot' is greyed out even if the user is connected or on queue.
2. If you're lucky and 'Establish Friend Slot' wasn't greyed out and you activated it, when 1 chunk finished and the user is on the queue again, the user has no friend "bonus" anymore, meaning high score. 'Establish Friend Slot' is selected then though. Reselecting it doesn't help.
