CPU usage peaks in cvs 20050426
« on: April 28, 2005, 05:40:28 PM »

I noticed that with CVS snapshot dated 2005-04-26 there are regular CPU usage peaks, every 60 seconds. They are unrelated to any delay I set in Preferences, and however they aren't present with the same configuration in a snapshot dated 2005-04-12.
They're particularly annoying because when playing a video with mplayer/xine they cause a visible framedrop.

well, with a larger delay between spikes this still happens with 2.0.0
I'm pretty sure cvs snapshots and RCs before april didn't cause any peak...

Blame it on the 'WAH-WAH! OUR STATISTICS DISSAPEARED! WOE IS US, WOE IS US!' folks.

Rewriting the known.met files because people was complaining that if amule crashes it doesn't get updated.

oh, well
last crash I noticed was with rc5 or rc6 so this doesn't seem to me a problem, and the cpu peaks seems to me a regression...
however, I'll try running amule with nice 5 or nice 10...

I'll tell you: I'll make it selectable and disabled by dafault. How does that look to you?
